I created a test account for wialon program and i use a Teltonika device type 4200. My problem is that the device does not communicate with the server and device always appears offline. For setting the device i use data from this page:

Does anyone have any idea why it does not work?
P.S. my SIM card don't have a SMS or voice plan only TCP data plan it's available.

Are you sure that controller does not communicate with server? Can you see any messages from unit in Messages mode? Controllers from Teltonika break TCP-session as they finish transmitting data, that is why controller appears offline. Transmission time is very short, and unit status remains "offline". If all settings are correct, you must receive messages from your unit.

i need sms notifications on my cell phone. i m in lahore pakistan, can i get this service by paying some amount? also you said that fm 4200 comes online only for very short time and sending commands is not possible. I have tried to send commands even when my unit is online, but command sending fails and message "error executing command" appears. is there any paid service by which i can send commands and get notification sms on cell phone?
mani943, you need to buy SMS message package for Wialon Hosting. Then u r able to send messages either to device nor to your cell phone.
shal thanks for your reply.I am using the trail of gurtam to test teltonika FM 4200. I am facing the following problems.
1-The email i got from gurtam clearly says that I can receive email & SMS notifications during test period. However, i am getting only the emails, not the sms. Whats wrong?
2-The commands available are not working. And i guess they will not work even if i can send sms to my device beacause the standard commands are not specified for FM4200, they are just generic one . the commands are different for FM4200 as compared to available and programmed in gurtam. like if you want to get position of ur device, gurtam's text is "query_pos" while FM4200 uses "getgps". I have even tried to use command allias in unit setting to create custom commands but there too, i cant create command of my own choice.
How can i send "getgps" command to my device?
3-I have connected the ignition alret to device input. iget alert whenever ACC is ON. how can i set my device to get the ignition alert (not ACC)
Please any body guide me how to edit standard commands?

I use teltonika FM4200
I receive the value from CAN register (ID FEE9 Total Fuel Used). This values is e.g 445730. But in "FMS-Standard Interface description" I found the information that I ought to multiply this value by 0.5 to get correct result. Could you tell me how can I do it, please?
I try with Calculation table but I doesn't get any result. Could you tell me what parametrs I must write in X,a,b window and where can I find the results.

But now I have more complicated question. I need result y = 51200 / x.
It is Fuel economy (FEF2) CAN parametr.
I will be grateful for any advice.

martin, only linear function is supported at that moment. You can only create approximate chart consisting from several pieces.
It is very bad information...
We need that kind of functionality to achieve advantage in the market 
We need accurate results of fuel consumption - the approximate is not enough for us.

Remember guys that Teltonika has and issue with Position fix of GPS and the device not sending messages. unlike other devices Teltonika for some reason stops sending messages to server if it is not fix.

I would like to hear if somebody else have this problem with Teltonika.I have device driving and connecting to roaming networks that are not in allowed list.Configuration is made like in manual: 1 profile for home network ,2 for roaming and 3 for storage when it has no available networks.
Teltonika support are worst ever .

Does any body tested GPRS commands with the FM4200? Do they work?
I tested sending a GPRS command "Send message to driver" on FM4200 but the device interprets it as a ping command. any idea why?

have you tested sending a text message with your phone to see how the device reacts, if it accepts it correctly then the message send via GPRS should be accepted....
The command by phone work, but not by sending GPRS command using gurtam platform. any idea why?
GPRS commands for FM4200 is intended for communicating with Garmin navigator which connected to FM4200. Without Garmin connection this commands will not affect to anything.

We have Garmin navigator but the command is not working as I said the FM4200 interprets it like a ping command see above the output from Teltonikas Terminal.exe tool.
