Тема: *NEW*: App for Public Transport
Dear partners!
We are glad to introduce you to a new app of Wialon product line, which is to be released in a couple of months. This app is a special solution for public transport and aimed at companies dealing with passenger transportation.
With the app, you'll be able to:
• plan rides/trips to be fulfilled each day
• control vehicle's presence on the route
• get notifications about route deflection and stop skipping
• view in real-time manner how well vehicles stick to the schedule, see their delay and hurry
• detect concentration of vehicles at one place
• generate reports upon fulfilled rides/trips
• etc.
First of all, a base of stops should be created in the app. The stops could be created either manually or imported from KML.
Then, you assemble routes from those stops. The best way to move from one stop to another is suggested by the app, however, you can edit this line according to your preferences.
For each route, a timetable should be created. That is a set of schedules, according to which, vehicles are supposed to visit stops of this route. A route can have hundreds of such schedules.
Pending rides can be observed in a special panel, where you can check if everything is configured properly and also check if correct units are assigned to each ride. Units can be assigned to rides either automatically (if they are set in schedule's properties) or manually by a dispatcher.
There are several interfaces to perform real-time online tracking of the routes. A special scale can show you all units on a particular route, their progress, current location, information about their attitude to the schedule — yellow plates for those who are in a hurry, red plates for vehicles with delay.
Alternatively, similar thing can be shown on the map — vehicle markers move in real-time there.
Notifications as well as reports will be also provided in the system. Besides, access to the system can be organized in a smart way — giving different users different privileges, visible elements, and allowed interfaces/panels to visit.
Any Wialon Hosting account can be integrated with the app. Then, access is given to users who 'live' in this account (individually). Units (vehicles) and their data is drawn from Wialon Hosting, too. In all other aspects, the app has its 'independent life'.
Looking forward to your comments and proposals!
