Trackers with frequency signal input

Topic: Trackers with frequency signal input

Hi everyone, does anyone know of a manufacturer tracking devices, which has a frequency input, on which can connect rpm signal from alternator?
Or if there might be some frequency converter frequency to the CAN which can be connected to a classic device for example Ruptela PRO3?
Thank you all in advance for your answers.

Hi,

Many units are able to count pulses, also like Teltonika etc.

Baltika... thanks for your reply

do you have experience with some particular Teltonika model , although it would like to avoid because they have poor support

Hello,

Ruptela's FM Pro units are suitable for impulse counting.

but in the manual does not say that the PRO3 can connect to the frequency of the alternator,  are you connecting to and how

Galileosky has also Frequency counter input.

But maybe you explain a bit more detailed what kind of frequency you want to scan and how the reports should look like.

(and more importand, what frequency!)

Re: Trackers with frequency signal input

Hello,

DIN1 & DIN2 are suitable for this.

According to the manual:
"DIN 1 Digital input, channel 1(It can be also used as a pulse counter).Threshold 4V"

In the I/O setting you have to enable Fuel counter1

Settings:
Level:0
Delta:0
Average:45000
check include data only on event
Priority: high
No Switch

tnx for reply...
I want to scan frequency from excavators alternator for detecting effective working time, frequency is like from other alternators, alternating power  which gives impulses cca 28 volt

Re: Trackers with frequency signal input

Maybe for this problem you can use simply an analog input..
There is a normal voltage, but when the generator starts working then the voltage will jump for a higher level.

From this analog input you can make a digital sensor, where you can follow up the effective work.

At the calculation table wizard you can set the values like this:

X         Y
0         0
10        0
24        0
25        0
25.5     1
26        1
28        1

where 25.5 is the threshold Voltage (of course you have to set this value according to your needs..).
You may can try this..theoretically it can work

Trackers with frequency signal input

Re: Trackers with frequency signal input

my main problem is I am trying to read the rpm from excavator Fiat Hitachi 1997, the purpose was to measure effective working hours of the machine, not just hours when the ignition on the machine was turned, only when he worked for really with inceased rpm, the problem occurs because some of the drivers start machine and go to cafe, i hawe heard this can be done by measuring rpm from maschine by connect to alternator and measure pulses from wire tipe "w"

thanks in advance for answers

1)And what is the other criteria of real operation?

2) Soory, but I cant nderstand in what is the problrm for connection to alternators?
