Fuel Gauge Noise Correction

Hello,
   Fuel level gauge was connected to our tracking device and the voltages were reflected on the interface correctly.
But as we all know fuel being a liquid and vehicle is in motion on the road does not have steady level; it is constantly changing, it is turbulent. These Fuel Level Gauges are generally preinstalled in almost all vehicles' fuel tank.

  This turbulence is not eliminated on the interface and is a great concern, as these values change drastically within short period of time. It can be due to harsh braking or bumps on the road or cornering, whatever be the reason; but were not due to fuel drain/theft.
I had tweaked the filters and changed the related values on Fuel Consumption Tab. But the levels shown in fuel report was either high or low to an highly unacceptable level in a short period of time.

   What I think is, can we implement a ‘Kalman Filter’ or ‘Linear Quadratic Filter’ for fuel levels. This filter can remove noise and can give correct estimation of fuel level within short period.

Electronics engineers have implemented this kind of filters.

If this is possible in software than we do not need to add additional piece of hardware to the device.
