Is it possible to get a data dictionary of the reporting tables so that we know what each of the fields in the tables represents?

We are running reports and getting data but we do not realy undestand what the data is actually telling us.

We have a report created that is looking for all trucks that have stopped for longer than an hour and we are using the events and stops tables. When the report runs we get figures for Duration, Total Time and Off-Time that we canot work out what us the relationship.

For example
Begining time 2013-02-10 21:28:06   
End Time 2013-02-10 21:48:55   
Duration 0:04:38   
Total Time 0:20:49    we think this is end time - Beginning time
Off-Time 21:43:31

Hi John,

Data columns like Duration, Total time & Off-time are explained in the docs

While creating a new report template you can choose which columns you'd like to add. Just skip Total Time or others if that information has no sense in the report. Moreover, you can add custom explanation to any column name in report template settings. That can be actual for few columns representing type of information that is not so easy for understanding. Most times that's not a problem to cope with the entire report data.

Great thanks for the update. I found the table information as well.

How do we add the custom explanation for the columns? Is that for both Hosted and Pro?

Just click the column name to start editing it and enter some brief explanation after the name.
