We have a customer that has enquired about integrating the data from Wialon into Power BI. Has anyone created or used a method for this already? Or is the Remote API the only method?

Alasdair Graham Wialon reports can be uploaded to an own ftp. Theoretically, Power BI can be fed with the csv files from and ftp. Here is a link where synchronization of the data between ftp and powerbi was discussed: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Deskto … 92#M236579

We have made such solution to use free PowerBI desktop.
It looks as background service polling GPS tracking platform for new data. Data are stored in local MS SQL database.
And Power BI can work with these data.
It was not for Wialon though (other platform) but there are no big difference. We can do this solution for you if needed.
