Notification Window popup behavior

Hello,
I've discovered that when the notification window is closed by clicking on the 'x' this also reset the user setting "Automatically display popup events".

I think that this has to be removed because the user preference/setting should not be affected by an operation that is not directly addressed to this.
I mean that is a "normal user" by mistake close that window he also reset the setting deactivating any new popup notification.
