Manually assign trip status using Dallas Key/iButton with reader

From what I hear, you want to allow drivers to set trip statuses. At the moment drivers may set trip statuses in the Driving Logbook:

- traffic controller signs into the Driving Logbook and shares the link with the drivers;
- drivers find themselves in the list and set the needed status. 

Would that solve the problem you describe?

Another option is to use WiaTag, where drivers may also set custom trip statuses.

that is not only 'Private' or 'Business'. That is a custom field that driver or trafic controller may edit according to your needs. E.g.: I edited the field and clicked 'Apply':

There is also a 'Notes' field if the driver or controller wants to leave a message.

Yes, you may run a trip report with the status and driver parameters.

In theory it is possible

Assuming that you distribute 5 Keys per driver you have to create 5 separate notifications  for each event.
If you have 10 driver you will have 10 X 5 = 50 notifications !!
The scalability and deployment of such a system is impractical, and not recommended.

Ideally you should have an  electronic switch that will produce three voltages .  Your device should be configured to read this as a temperature sensor or voltage sensor.

Switch A should produce 0 to 1v
Switch B should produce 1.5v to 2.5v
Switch C should produce 3v to 4v

(leave around .5 for variance)

These values can be interpreted to whatever states in Wialon via sensors. You will need  to create only three notifications to register these events.
