It's so interesting if you add a function in Wialon (both CMS and Monitoring panels) to generate random passwords for users. It's clear that in this case system should show generated password only for one time and it would be more convenient if system let's the user to copy generated password.
What you think about such a function?
I agree, but why in the monitoring panel also? It will be very useful in CMS.

I propose this function in Monitoring because:
1. some customers don't have access to CMS but may want to create users under their accounts.
2. Even a end user may want to change his/her password but wants the system to offer him/her a secure random password.
The idea is clear.
Maybe you can make a point about your current passwords usage, e.g. how often do you change passwords and who chooses a new password - user himself or some specialist.
tata, we don't change user's password periodically. When we want to create new user our specialists need this function and after that the user itself will need it to change it in case think that his/her password is available for someone else.

i see one little Problem with the 2 factor auth: it will be complicated to use two generators with two tokens on one account name.
But as most partners will use their "master-login" to work with cms, there should be something like "users" which can be connected directly to a master account and work as the master account.
For example:
our masteraccount mycarcontrol: i can create for this 2factor purpose two users wolfgang and erik, we have two google authenticators and can choose on login which of the both apps are used. So we can login both with different token generation apps.

As I know you are working on 2FA function. Do you have any plan for random passwords as well?
hhamedk, a random password is not approved option as it got not only positive feedback. But password strength verification is available since latest Wialon Hosting update. And 2FA function is planned for the next release.
