Hi, we have been asked if we could provide a solution to protect compounds. Our customer have un manned compounds around the country which contain plant equipment, what they are finding is the locks are being cut off the security gates at night and equipment being stolen.

The theft is only discovered when someone arrives at the compound in the morning, is there a product out there in the market place and works on Wialon that can be used to secure the gates / perimeter fences and if tampered with raises an alert and also the location?

Yavi hi, thanks for the details.

We did look at a product a few years ago which was perfect for our customer but cant the details on the company, they had padlock but instead of the clasp it had a  high tensile steel cable.

You passed the cable around the asset and inserted the end of the cable in to the lock, once fully inserted the lock became armed.

So any tampering with the lock mechanism itself or cutting the high security steel cable would send out an alert, if the correct key was used to open the lock the locked disarmed it was designed for curtain sided trailers.

Have you seen this type?

TRAC360LTD it seems that http://gurtam.com/en/gps-hardware/radiosecure-slm  uses the same principle. But I'm not sure.
If you found this device and you have users fir such solutions we can analyze the possibility of integration.

Yes I did have a look and although it would be fine for a container / rear doors on a trailer I don't think it would last long on a construction site.

The watch lock looks ok, but if the D/shackle was a cable of say 1mtr in length then it could be wrapped around the gates a few times so the thief would have to cut the cable.

If you used a chain with the standard lock then they could cut the chain instead of the shackle, in that case the lock would still be in tact.

TRAC360LTD Sorry, we don't have the samples of such devices in our office. That's why the only thing we know it is pictures and description on website.

Hello, my friends provide field testing the novel Electrronic Security Seal  enabled 6,2  diameter steel cable with optic wire in the core.
Once the cable is breached in any manner : cut, removed etc. the alert signal send wia GPRS.
The Electronic Security Seal  developed for Sea Containers, Rail road wagons, trailers, cargo gates and similar applications.
I guess you could inquire them  for testing if proved  SIM-chip  from your local GSM provider and explain the detals of  your customer's challange.
