Thanks a lot for sharing. It would be also helpful to know your opinion on non averaging penalty points / averaging by distance / averaging by time options we have in Wialon. Let us know for what uses you think each of the averaging scenarios would be most applicable, or general thoughts on this.

Additionally, have you experimented with using validator senor as a penalty multiplier?

You told me that Teltonika (in hardware config utility) harsh detection ranges are differently configured for both cars. Try to configure them same way.

But my main problem with this app and iDriveSafe, is that you all say that it tells you who are the best Drivers...
It tells you nothing about drivers... just vehicles.... useless for drivers... for almost all applications... since it tells you who is the best vehicles...
Taxi companies.. useless... truck drivers... useless... all serious applications where you have any pooled vehicles or general use vehicles... it tells you nothing...

Also trying to link drivers and units in wialon is not a simple task... to extract out eco driving data and complete driver data takes at least 4 data selections, with 2 of them being reports...(since eco driving and millage seem to only be properly available through reports)

The ability to create a behavious report with a rating based on how a driver dives is a great thing. The allocation of penlties to a particular condition, eg over speeding, needs to take into account the size of variance, the time the variance lasted and and particular evironment condition that is relevant.  By environment condition I mean for example load of the vehicle as the increased accident potential of n empty vehicle over speeding by 20kph and a vehicle carrying a load of 24 tonne is very different. This is where I think the validator could be used. So we have two routes one to a customer and one from a customer. So if the return route is the base then the to customer route would get a value of say 1.2 and as such increase the penalty allocated for a breach condition. This would be the same case for harsh cornering as well.

It could also be the case for weather conditions so the same over speed in the rain verses dry would get a penalty increase. Challenge is how to capture the weather condition.

The Eco Driving view should allow for the capability to have a unit centric view or a driver centric view.

Greendriving / Eco-Driving is a feature which we are enabling now as a default standard function.
