Тема: New Wialon user asks some information

I have just discovered the Wialon tracking platform,

Possibly I'd like to have some informations:

1) My language is not fully translated. Can I modify the missing parts myself ?

2) Device protocols communications are supported with both tcp and udp, or some only tcp and other only tcp ?

3) I have seen on a previous post that you are working on Garmin FMI. Any idea on the final release ?

4) Do I have limitations on the user I can add to the system, like managers for managing the service, user ?

Hi,

1. Yes it will be possible to complete the translation.
2. It depends on device type. Most of them send data by tcp, however udp is used too.
3. Garmin FMI support is in process, you may follow that topic.
4. Yes, there are different kinds of limitations which can be given to users, accounts

my last question was not clear enough:

There is a limitation on the number of additional users I can add for free to the Wialon Hosting offering ?

and Last:

The Wialon Hosting offering, include the maps (Google, Bing, Yahoo) transactions ?

Ok, now it's clear. No, there aren't such restrictions. I thought you were asking about limitations of users possibilities.
However one of them will be main user of service, while all others (regular users) can be created for your clients - as many as you need.

Regarding maps - all those you listed can be added in your service on hosting.

Ok, but I need to buy a separate license from Google Maps, if I want to use Google Maps, or the maps transaction is included in the Wialon Hosting offering ?

Wialon supports Google maps API.

The document says that I need to buy Google Maps API Premier if my service is not public accessible and not free.

Should I buy Google Maps API Premier if I buy the Wialon Hosting package, or it's included in the offering ?

Yes, you should, at least at that moment. To have adequate cost you need to have 400-800 assets(units) connected. More details you can request from us or Google Maps Premier by e-mail.

If I'm not wrong you are from Italy, in that case you can use WebGIS maps. They are good for Europe and avaible for free for our customers.
