seems that i am stupied and dont understand how to update FW in quecklink gl505 device.
i have the firmware (.bin) file, the config cable , the configuration software, but i dont find any point in config software to upgrade the firmware...

Hello wwbusch,
based on other models i've updated please try this, unplug the programming cable from device (not from computer !) start the updater software
1.- select proper device
2.- select correct com port and speed (115200)
3.- select cat file (this file is under your fw directory release)
at this point you can plug in the cable at device side and
4.- press start
