i have heard different test results from "totaly easy, works perfect" from Georgia (using the Quecklink Ultra Sonic Device) over "does not work stable" from some other partners.
I am also still looking for some people who are using ultra sonic sensors for longer time on many trucks.
Still did not find any.

i've installed some only for testing, from generic brands, also one queclink, sensors works fine but there is a big offer out-there, and those involves differente hw an sw versions, so the main goal here i guess is to get the correct version to get your app working out..

1) By other words., we know very fine all pluses and minuses of Omnicomm (Vepamon) sensors.
2) And to say that it is the best sensor, without a comparative table - it's just not serious.
(it sound as: BMW, Audi etc. is the best car in the world)

Also, - I'm not saying anything against Ominicomm sensor
We have been looking at DYP sensor out of China in particular their ability to sense theft from the tank. So we are using their microcontroller capability to sense a fuel reduction due to syphoning theft and trigger a buzzer and this buzzer trigger we capture as a digital in to the GPS unit. The unit seems to take readings when the fuel surface is stable so whether moving on a flat road or uphill or down hill it takes a reading when the product is steady.
For fuel consuption we do this based on meters travelled on a trip and the difference between the starting and ending value for volume. We are not temperature compensating this at the moment. If during trip consumption to a high level of accuracy is required I would suggest the use of a flowmeter. We are looking at this as a mechanism for captureing in transit theft as not all fuel is stolen when the vehicle is stationary.
