Hi,
easiest way: use dallas 1 wire temp sensors (i think up to 16 parallel on on bus system).
They are exact in measurement and simple in connection and you can use them with all 1wire HW.
(we are talking about trucks or?)

Thanks for your input. We have looked at the dallas conrad sensors connected to calamp 2820. Good to hear you have used.

P.S. when using 1wire, typicaly you need to have a pullup resistor on the data line EXEPT YOUR GPS TRACKER ALREADY HAS PULLUP!!! (you need to check that!)
