i would like to propose a notification for driver information , for example when the license is due...this notification will alert the fleet management when the driver must go and get his licence again,
is kind of dumb but very use full.....

yes that part i understand but drivers can drive another car maintenance is for trucks and the events for each one of them , in this case it would be for the driver furthermore and thinking this would be like activating the maintenance program for the trailers
oh, that means same kind of events registrar needed, for drivers, but not for units.

We can add custom fields against a driver and we use these for the licence as well as certification management. The field is Dangerous Goods Licence Expiry and the entry is the expiry date If we could run notifications against this it would be great. At the moment only units can have notifications run against them. Do not want to create drivers as units :-)
as for now i see it's easier for users to store all that "due-to-expire" data in a unit. (create a separate on for all drivers... )
rather that for us to upgrade drivers and trailers that much.

hm. mostly manually now.
when there's an aler you go and check who's the one with expired license. Taking into account that average Wialon user has about 15 units, hence pretty same number of drivers - not that much to search for.
Our customers have between 10 - 40 trucks but some have 100's of trucks so manual is ok at the begining but need to have something automated as the final solution.
I can understand that most of the demand came origionally fom Russian and surrounding European countries but Asia offers a lot of opportunities and things are done slightly differnt here. We are also looking to do some development of specific applications.
This is really becoming necessary.
We need to be able to manage driver's license separate from unit of vehicles.
That way; a multinational will not have to go into a unit of vehicles to modify driver's license expiration.
Please look into this.

As you see, such a function is required once in 5 years. This means that it is not crucial for most businesses.
Try to use custom fields as johnG shared his experience before.
We have no any plans for Wialon drivers notifications in the nearest plan. But follow our news and try new app Fleetrun. It will serve to monitor the state of a fleet and may have a function to monitor drivers in the long term.
