UAE-based telecom SIM cards and some older GPS tracking devices

I'm facing compatibility issues between UAE-based telecom SIM cards and some older GPS tracking devices (2G-based, especially from 2018-2020 models). Either the signal is lost after restart or the tracker shows offline frequently.

Anyone else facing this in 2025 with Etisalat or DU SIMs?
Are there recommended APN settings or SIM types for stable performance in older trackers?
