Re: Calculating driver behaviour (eco-driving)
Hello- Very nice feature. Can you advise if posted speed can be used in the parameters. I only see min/max settings.

Put overspeeding value in the associated input control. Yes it uses posted speed limits, import configuration above into unit to start playing with it.
Some points on eco-driving in our blog.
This is an great development and will be of use to a lot of customers....kudos to the development team.
Just for your information. We are still working on the algorithms and penalties in report done week ago may still be slightly different then after a week for the same trip. The difference should not be too much, just slightly different, especially for more precise eco-driving hardware.
Now we have more data, more feedback and can make algorithm better in all cases.
especially for more precise eco-driving hardware.
Aleksey,
+ GuardMagic VB series (VB6; VB7; VB8) + Guardmagic VF (VF1, VF) series.
samples of some "ECO drive"reports = http://www.guardmagic.com/01-engl/11e-s … toring.htm
Would to hope that this some samples will be useful for you.
Guys,
you really should spent some time and test / play with the new Eco App. Its cool. Its usefull. Its makes fun to compare your own driving behavior with that of your collegues. it helps selling. Take the time and learn how to use it! Just a tip from my side.

how do i know if my tracker sends eco-driving data?

actually we have a filter on our hardware page to sort out the natively supported hardware. The link was mentioned above:

Hi Small-GPRS,
basically you can use ALL hardware which has a G Sensor inside and send different messages for different types of violations, for example one sensor message for harsh braking, one sensor message for harsh acceleration, one for harsh curving.
we use other HW which is not mentioned in the gurtam hw supported list and it works perfect ;-)
for sure i know, that Ruptela has G Sensor, Gosafe has G Sensor, ATrack has G Sensor and Teltonika has G Sensor (all of them can be defines to send data on event, you than just need to define a sensor (or multiple sensors).
Sometimes its a bit tricky to configure them, on teltonika for example you have param253=1 if its hard braking, 2 if its hard acceleraton and 3 if its harsh curving (or vise versa, i am lazy to look into the sensors)
so i just added 3x sensor with param253 but added a calculation table where i said: y=1 only when for example x=2 or so...
just ping me if you need help with that HW.

for what?
All thi sgreat can do monitoring software.
(main - hatdware must send necessary information to monitoring software for data processing)
First summer day and i have some good news
EcoDriving becomes open-source under MIT License
Fork it on GitHub https://github.com/wialon/wialon-app-ecodriving
By the way.
"ECO Driving" application is for fuel consumption.
"IDrive safe" application is for safe driving behavior.
There is a new trend today
UBI = USER BASED INSURANCE
it needs measuring drive behavior . can be done by "IDrive safe" application"
if the tracker has 3D Accelerometer that is embeded by Gurtam.

Smart OBD car tracker is specifically designed for the private cars. It’s easy to install, built-in backup battery, supports cut-off power alarm, acc detection, tracking location and upload fault diagnosis information and car condition in real time, widely applied to private cars and other motor vehicles with OBDII plug.
