What is the easiest way to have automatic trailer binding?
We have customer with articulated tractor unit and trailers. We have tracking unit in front tractor unit. How would we read what trailer was attached? maybe RFID? But is range long enough? How are people doing this? advice appreciated.
We use mainly Calamp equipment, it support 1 wire devices.

The new version of the UMKa310 tracker supports working with iBeacon tags on 4 channels, can imitate the standard iBeacon tag and be a receiver.
You can group tags for drivers, trailers, and two other groups to avoid unwanted identifications. The more advanced UMKa302 can do the same, as well as it works with CAN and supports up to 8 BLE fuel level sensors.
