Beta is alive! Be among the first to try the new functions!

Long-awaited novelty for the adherents of mapping services by Google. Your Google Maps key literally becomes a master key, as we supplemented Routes tool with an option to generate routes allowing for traffic jams. Using this you’ll definitely get to your destination faster, wherever it is.     

What’s new in WH Beta in December

We’ve already described the new function to check if the job is configured correctly with the option for test execution. To avoid accidental job execution we implemented double-click activation. Thus, you will no more waste time waiting for a job being executed by mistake. 

Narnia, the Land of Oz, the Middle-Earth...At no time Wialon contained time-zones for that regions. Today we also part with UTC+11:30 (Norfolk) that no more exists in the real world. 

We constantly work on charts rendering optimization and unitized charts management tools in calculation table, messages panel and and reports module. 

Moreover, we improved CMS Manager design. Account switch and retranslator dialogs acquired a new look, all thanks to fresh ideas of design team!

Hello,
This is my first time posting here. I've just recently started working with Wialon, and it is a great system. I was checking out the Google Maps integration, and there are a few things missing in the Wialon routing module, that are already provided by the Google Maps API.

There are a few properties on the DirectionsRequest object used in the route method in the API. The avoidHighways property is already used inside Wialon, but the rest of the properties are also very useful. A couple of very important ones are the avoidTolls and the avoidFerries, which are very important for our clients, because they reduce costs.

Also, at the moment optimizing of point order is only possible through Gurtam Maps, but this feature is also available through the Google Maps API, using the property optimizeWaypoints.

If the first two (avoidTolls & avoidFerries) could be implemented, it would be wonderful, since these are the most important and are used constantly when our customers want to reduce costs.

lucian.serb, new options for Google maps are available in Beta. You can add Beta branch for your DNS with Google key and try.
