Fuel saving when minimizing harsh accellation and -braking

Topic: Fuel saving when minimizing harsh accellation and -braking

We are doing a pilot project with one of our customers. They ask the average percentage of fuel saving when they minimize or halt harsh acceleration and braking specifically, as part of the eco-driving and best practice.
What are the average percentage of fuel saving? I have browsed around on the internet and find out various figures, mostly in conjunction with excess idling.

Anybody knows a source that provides reliable information?

You will have to develop your own algorithms for this. There are many factors that need to be taken into account so we do it based on a set of business rules that feed each of the calculations. These rules need to be updated using dynamical captured metrics from the device.

Thanks John, it looks like implementing a heuristic or self learning concept.

Re: Fuel saving when minimizing harsh accellation and -braking

i guess you have to combine eco-driving with can шина in order to make proper calculations, simple aritmetic operations can be done directly in wialon from data that arrives from the terminal, so the terminal model selection is very important, high end lmu4200 can do the task including some pre-processing the data before sending it to wialon server, take a look

if you don't want to write a lot of code use the repeater service of wialon and you can process the  desired data in your on server using any programming language you domain.
