Topic: Most Integrated Device

Hello,
We are new to the Gurtam/Wialon family. We had signed up with a platform provider and had a bad experience with them( not named)- supposed to support 300 devices, but only basic tracking- you had to pay to get other features integrated, I had 150 support tickets opened, this put us back 9 months on a project.

We will be moving our clients over onto this platform, as it seems to be well supported and things just work. All our test devices worked first time. As will our project be moved.

We have used Atrack- AX5/AK1, meitrack  T68/MT90, Queclink GV300 and DCT Syrus. We tried Calamp- but the support was so bad we had to drop the product line( very complicated to script).

I really like the way the hardware can be chosen according to what you need etc. Great idea.

To cut a long story short, we are looking for some device advice from the  experts here, please.

We have a few markets we 'Specialise in'. Remote Immobilisation is a top feature we promote. Driver behaviour is also key.

1.  We are interested in tracking and Remote immobilisation for Quad bikes and farm equipment- waterproof.

2. We are interested in all round general tracker that can also handle Driver iD and Garmin and remote immobilisation.

3. we are interested in a tracker that can be used for Trucks and buses, temp and fuel control etc with remote immobilisation.

They must work with the Wialon/ Gurtam Driver behaviou, iDrive Safe APP.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards
Glenn

Re: Most Integrated Device

Hi Glenn,

we have a lot of Teltonika FM1200 running, waterproof, build in antennas, perfect for all kind of rough hardware installations (also with build in antenna).
The teltonika fm5300 is perfect for Garmin displays and 1wire etc
BCE has also good devices with 1Wire, canbus and so on.

From the Asian guys i can recoment ATRACK as a manufactor and also GoSafe and Meitrack.

For absolute low cost units we have good experience with EELINK

If you find another good HW, just ask manufactor for protocol and send it to Gurtam Support, they will be happy to implement it!

Re: Most Integrated Device

Hello small_gprs,

Thank you for the rely.
I had such a bad experience with CalAmp, cannot go back there.
GV300 we are using them at the moment for one client, they don't have full 3x motion sensor ( accelerometer).
I will look at technoton.
Thank you.

Re: Most Integrated Device

Hello Wolf,

Thank you for your reply. Very helpful and good advice.
I have a quote from Teltonika.  I have asked for info from BCE. I have asked for info from Ruptela as well.
I have a good relationship with Atrack and Meitrack. I have both running in various clients vehicles.

For example I connected these test devices  to this platform in a few minutes and they all worked first time:
Atrack AX5, Syrus 2 ( direct and via Pegasus) Meitrack MT 90 and Queclink GT300 and GPS Tag App.

Thanks for the great info.

Regards
Glenn

Totally agree with you. Teltonika is an excellent choice, and about Asian trackers Atrack would be the best choice. I just a question, I do not know nothing about EELINK, what can you tell me about them? Because I see that their main device is one very similar to the GT06, with whom I had not the best experience.

Hector,

Eelink devices are very cost effective. You would need to do some testing on your own to ensure that reliability is where within the acceptable range for you. You can request a sample or several from their sales rep Domi Ren: Skype ID -  live:sales_11563 . Mobile: +86 13267052361

Hi All,
Have any of you had a good experience with a Trailer Tracker with a long life battery? One that is not to big? It has the possibility to connect to the trailer wiring so when it is hooked up it charges at the same time?

Many thanks

Re: Most Integrated Device

Hi Wolf,

Thank you for your advice. And I'd like to recommend some of our devices to you guys.

GT06N:

The multifunctional GPS Vehicle Tracker GT06N is the best-seller among Concox’s products. Being the best-seller in Concox’s products, GT06N more than looks different but has many special functions appealing to customers. GT06N is a mini and original GPS car and truck tracker with internal battery. It can be installed in the shelters on cars or trucks.

Main functions

1.       Tele-cut off (petrol / electricity) function
You can track your vehicles through sending messages on the platform in the case of its being stolen.

2.       Geo-fence function
It is unnecessary to worry about your car being stolen and cannot being back because when your car is moved out of the Geo-fence the alarm will start and you can track your car through the platforms.

3.       SOS alarm
You can alert your alarm in the case of your being robbed or other dangerous ones.

In my experience, Teltonika is really good in terms of performance and price.
You can also integrate a bunch of input signal and customize it, espicially Fuel Level Sensor for better fleet management!

Re: Most Integrated Device

Hello, Glenn and fellow Gurtam/Wialon enthusiasts,

First of all, It's great to have you here. I can understand your frustration with your previous platform provider, but it's good to know that you're considering a move to a more reliable and well-supported platform.

In terms of device recommendations, Gurtam/Wialon is indeed known for its flexibility when it comes to hardware compatibility. Here are some suggestions based on your specific needs:

Tracking and Remote Immobilization for Quad Bikes and Farm Equipment (Waterproof): For rugged and waterproof tracking in these environments, you should explore options like the Queclink GL505, which offers robust tracking capabilities and can withstand tough conditions. It should integrate well with the Gurtam/Wialon platform for remote immobilization.

All-Round General Tracker with Driver ID, Garmin Integration, and Remote Immobilization: The Teltonika FMB125 could be a good fit here. It's a versatile device that can handle driver identification, Garmin integration, and remote immobilization. It's known for its reliability and compatibility with telemarketing software like Gurtam/Wialon.

Trucks and Buses with Temperature and Fuel Control, Remote Immobilization: The Ruptela FM Eco4 Light is worth considering for larger vehicles. It offers comprehensive features, including temperature and fuel control, and integrates well with remote immobilization. It can be an excellent choice for your specific requirements.

Remember that the success of your tracking and remote immobilization solutions also depends on the quality of the telemarketing software you choose. You're on the right track, given your preference for Gurtam/Wialon.
