Can passengers see the vehicles movement ? or is it only  time schedule for each stop ?

Tried locator for nimbus.It is a good begining. Eagerly Waiting for update with vehicle movement.

it will be great if we can include searching between stops.
if possible include an  option to select routes for each locator link.

Is it possible to expire the link based on entering a specific geofence, rather than only by time expiration? e.g. once the vehicle arrives at a geofence, it deletes access to the link? Similar to Uber or Lyft?

Moving units looks great   We love it.
Do you know how often location is updated on the map ? is it as Wialon is receiving data from units or Nimbus has a update internal ?

As the locator feature has a time expiration, it does not matter where the vehicle is, it will automatically expire within that time period. Is it possible to set by geofence instead? Once the vehicle enters that geofence it kills the link?

e.g. Customer wants to use NimBus to track routes for parents, however they do not want the parents to continue to track the bus after it has arrived at their stop, or after it has arrived at the school. As this may be different times, due to traffic delays, a time expiration can be very limiting. However if the expiration is based on geofence, then the parents can only see up to until the bus enters the school. The bus can then continue to be used for other routes or other purposes without backend intervention to disable the locator feature.

fleettracker3, thank you for describing your idea. In this case you would have to create different links for the parents and it would probably be inconvenient for you.
As the locator doesn’t allow to divide one route into separate parts (distances between the school and each stop) we can say it is difficult to set different time of expiration for the same link, regardless entering geofences. And the locator actually tracks routes not units, so the parents will be able to use the link only for the route they need to track.
Also at the moment the locator tracks all the routes of the activated depot. For now we are working on the possibility to create separate links for each route groupes. We hope it will be helpful in resolving your issue.

Hello, orosgroup! Yes, data from the locator can be used for this purpose and integration with the app is possible. In this case you have an opportunity to develop a chatbot for Whatsapp that will perform this kind of function using our API.

We are glad to inform you that in the latest update NimBus v. 1.4.5 one of the new features is limitation of the Locator by group of routes: now the Locator can show not all the routes of a depot but part of them.

What happens when one vehicle / unit is scheduled to run on different routes ?

Like to shear with you and application we develop in our company dedicated to school buses, we have 3 main fixtures: 1. the web application, 2. the user app 3. The driver app. It was designed for keep the control of the pickup and drop of the students, the parents can check were the child is moving all the time when he is on the bus, receive and alert when the bus is near his location and as well when the bus is dispatch from the school, we  are looking forward if we can expand this through you NIMBUS app, to another level of services, such us corporate transportation, large company’s employs  transportation, and more, adding fixture’s like final user app in which they can be alert of the proximity of the bus sending and SMS or an email to the cell app, a menu that can provide communication with the dispatch center and driver, as well and app to the driver that can see the rout he have to accomplish in his cell or table, with fixtures such as confirmation that the passenger has been pick up, or not, interconnected with hardware barcode readers that cap the ID of the user etc.

1. Yes to get ready for boarding the unit, with and alert either in distance or time from the the pick up point.

2. The communication have to be in between the 3 elements; driver, dispatcher and passenger.

Is there any option to show ETA ( estimated time of arrival ). I noticed the StopPanel function in NimBus APIs return an ETA, but it's merely a counter that counts down current server time against the planned arrival time for the bus, which might not be necessarily accurate.

Do you have this implemented with real time ETAs?
