Hi Aliaksandr I spose it depends on where in the world people are and how their customers work with Wialon. Our customers want to create a sensor say a temperature sensor that is showing millivolts coverted to temperature shown in degrees C. This we can do through calibration. Their monitoring people are not interested in the parameter but want to know what is the temperature in the truck they are monitoring. The same is true for fuel, they want to see liters not voltage as the voltage means nothing to them.
We are looking to make it easy for non technical users to work with the system. We allow the creation of sensors, we allow reporting on sensor values but we do not support charting sensor values, we revert to the parameter value. To me this does not make sense, and is something potential customers always question. If I start with a sensor Temperature monitor but when i want to chart the values the chart changes to param72 and shows millivolts, both of which the user does not know about as he is a monitoring person.
Plus we are looking to use the system for non mobile asset conition monitoring were we will be capturing using IPS and want to display not in the raw data value but the units it represents.
I hope this will request will get support.
Regards
John
